Guilderland Grad Kevin Murphy to Play Box Lax in Vancouver, BC this Summer!!!

Kevin Murphy, Bridgton Academy class of 2019 and Guilderland High School class of 2018, is headed to Vancouver, British Columbia to play box lacrosse with the Richmond Roadrunners this summer.

Through Bridgton Coach Matt Nutley, Murphy connected with Coach Neil Doddridge, who will be coaching the Finnish National Team in the World Indoor Lacrosse Championships later this summer. Murphy will be joining the Finnish players in box summer league play, as they prepare for the Box World’s. While in Vancouver, Murphy will also have the opportunity to work out at the Olympic training facilities located there.

Murphy will then be headed to Grove City College (GCC) in Pennsylvania on August 13th where he will play D3 Football and Lacrosse while majoring in Business. Grove City College LAX is in its second year of official NCAA intercollegiate varsity play under varsity coach Alec Jernstedt recently earned it’s first automatic NCAA bid after winning the PAC conference. In this first NCAA appearance, Grove City suffered a heartbreaking 14-13 OT loss to SUNY Maritime on Tuesday May 7th .
