Mike Tesoriero to Serve as Color Commentator for UAlbany Men’s Lacrosse

Movin’ on Up!!!

Captial District Lax has learned that our friend and collaborator Mike Tesoriero will be serving as color commentator for the 2019 UAlbany Men’s Lacrosse home games to streamed on ESPN+. Tes will be joining Charlie Voelker in the booth, who returns as the play by play voice of the Danes. Tesoriero replaces previous color commentator Justin Berger, who now serves as Assistant Director of Development, Annual Giving at Tulane University.

Tesoriero is well known to the region’s lacrosse fans. A graduate of Shaker High School and Herkimer Community College (where he earned JUCO All-America honors), Tes went on to play at UAlbany during the 1992 and 1993 seasons. His 62 goals in 1992 stood as the UAlbany program’s single season goals scored record until 2014 when it was broken by Miles Thompson. Tesoriero was named a member of UAlbany’s 50th Anniversary Team last season.

Fans can check out the Great Danes in action on Friday February 8, 2019 at 5:00 PM, as they host Siena in what will be each team’s final scrimmage before beginning regular season play next week.
