Capital District College Box Lacrosse League

Registration Now Open!!!

ATTN: College Lacrosse Players:

Don’t miss this opportunity to improve your game this summer by participating in the inaugural season of the Capital District College Box Lacrosse League.

Among the coaches involved in the program is HVCC Head Coach and UAlbany alum Matt Johnson.   “I always say I didn’t really learn how to play lacrosse until I played box.” Johnson commented regarding his experience playing with the Akwesasne Indians along with Albany teammates Miles and Lyle Thompson in the summer of 2010. Coach Johnson has implemented box lacrosse at his Hudson Valley practices, which he says was instrumental in his team’s 9-3 record, back to back playoff appearances and scoring improvement from 7 goals a game to 13.6 (eighth in the country).

Starts:     Jun 30 ’18

Ends:      Aug 12 ’18

Registration Fee: $180.00

Location: Bethlehem, NY YMCA

Registration includes a uniform, skill combine, and 6 game regular season plus playoffs. The skill combine will take place on June 16 and teams will be selected by each Coach following the combine.

In addition to league play, playoffs and a championship, the CDCBLL will also host several tutorial box lacrosse clinics run by Canadian box veterans to orient college players to the speed and style of box lacrosse play. Games will be played on Saturdays in June, July and August at the Bethlehem YMCA. The CDCBLL is open to rising college freshman and all collegiate players pursuing higher education in 2018.
