Coach Tad Knight to be Inducted into the Shaker HS HOF

Shaker High School Sports Hall of Fame Brunch

On Saturday October 7, 2017, former Shaker High School Boys’ Lacrosse Head Coach Tad Knight will be inducted into the Shaker High School Sports Hall of Fame.  Coach Knight had a career record of 132-31 over nine seasons, won nine league titles, appeared in eight sectional finals and won six NYSPHSAA Section 2 titles. Among his biggest impacts is the coaching tree he developed. Locally Jason Gifford at Shenendehowa, PJ Williams at Guilderland and now Niskayuna, Mike Mcculough at Colonie, Mike Tesoriero at Stillwater, Shawn Hennessey and Joe Pollicino at Ballston Spa and now Shaker, and Eric Williams at Shaker. Out of area coaches include Matthew Pate in Texas, Bobby Pollicino in Maryland, Steve Caruso in Florida, Greg Sweet in Vermont, and Sean Houlahan in New Hampshire.

Also being inducted into the Shaker HOF are Bill Coghill, Marissa Amiraian, Adrianne Devine, and Kristen Hayes.
