Section 2’s Newest Lacrosse Program-Stillwater

In a school board meeting Tuesday, Stillwater unanimously voted to add Boys’ JV Lacrosse for the 2018-2019 school year. The vote makes the Stillwater Warrriors Section 2’s newest lacrosse team.  Stillwater is a class D school that plays out of the Wasaren League. Other schools within this conference who offer a JV program are: Greenwich, Hoosick Falls, Cambridge, Voorheesville and& Johnstown.

The Stillwater Revolution youth program has continued to grow and should provide a solid feeder program to the school. There has been a tremendous amount of support for lacrosse within the community and it hopes to continue to grow. The program is looking for additional boys’ coaches for next season as they would like to add a 1st/2nd grade program to their already existing 3/4, 5/6, 7/8 programs.

The program would also like to get a Director to run the girls’ program. This past year a basic skills & drills program was established with girls ranging from 3rd-8th grade, solely to get them exposed to the basics of the girls game. Next Spring we would like to build on this program and hope to grow it along with the boys program. Any interested volunteers should contact President -Tim Robichaud at or Vice President- Mike Tesoriero at

Being that we still have time before our boys step on the field in 2019 as JV lacrosse players, we have plenty of time to actively recruit more kids to play the fastest game on two feet! Best of luck to the future Stillwater Warriors lacrosse players & their families. 2019 can’t come soon enough!
