Poker Fundraiser for Guilderland Lacrosse!!!

Poker with a Purpose

Texas Hold’em Charity Poker Tournament
To Benefit Guilderland’s Lacrosse Program
& Altamont’s Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)

Date: Saturday, February 11th, 2017
Time: All players must arrive by 2:30 PM

  • 2:00 PM – Registration, table & seat assignments, Rules review
  • 3:00 PM – Tournament Starts

Place: VFW Post 7062 – 11 Mill St, Altamont, NY 12009
Entry In: $125

Tournament Set-up

Number of Players: 64 – 8 tables of 8 (subject to change, we have space for more)

Championship Table: Final eight (8) players advance to Championship table

Prize Money: All eight (8) players advancing to Championship Table will receive a cash prize. Below is the prize distribution, (subject to change)

1st place: $1,000
2nd place: $700
3rd place: $500
4th place: $400
5th place: $300
6th place: $200
7th place: $125
8th place: $100

Hourly Door Prizes will be given away!!

Tournament Play

Chips: All players will begin the tournament with $10,000 in chips

Blind Structure: We will use big and small blind structure. Blinds will increase every 25 minutes. Blind schedule and amounts will be posted at tournament.

Rebuys / Addons: There will no rebuys or addons. When you’re out…you’re out!

Table Consolidation: At the start of the tournament all tables will consist of 8 players.
We will consolidate tables as players drop out.

The decision(s) of the Tournament Directors (Joe Gunther / A.J. Gagnon) are final.

Benefit for Guilderland’s Lacrosse Program & VFW

This tournament is a fundraising event to benefit Guilderland School’s Lacrosse program and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).

Here is how the entry fee of $125 each will be distributed.

$15 Food, Beverages, Draft Beer
$20 Donation to VFW
$50 Tournament Prize Pool
$40 Lacrosse Program Funds

Gary Govel
Gary has been involved in lacrosse in the Capital District for over 35 years as a player, youth coach, program administrator, parent, and fan. Gary launched in November 2015 to report on lacrosse news and information of interest to the region, and to share his passion for the game.
