Albany High School Boys’ – Making History!!

From the Albany City Schools Facebook Page:

The Albany High School boys’ varsity lacrosse team made history in each of its first two games this season.

The Falcons played the first boys’ varsity game in school history on April 7, welcoming Shaker to Albany High (pictured). Two days later, the Falcons visited Averill Park and came away with the first win in program history, beating the Warriors 9-3 behind four goals from Lateke Murray.

In the season-opener, Chrstian Maldonado scored the first goal in program history and Will Kelley dominated on faceoffs even though the more experienced Blue Bison spoiled the Falcons’ debut.

In the win at Averill Park, in addition to Murray’s prolific performance Kalair Marshall had two goals and an assist, Maldonado had a goal and an assist, and Taylor Fields and Kelley also had a goal apiece.

Goalie Nazir Tingling made eight saves in front of a stout defense. Kelley again was dominant on faceoffs, winning 11 to go with 14 groundballs.
